Courtney & Harry | Scrivelsby Walled Garden
Courtney and Harry’s August wedding at Scrivelsby Walled Garden was the kind of summer celebration everyone dreams of — relaxed, romantic, and full of personal touches that made the whole day feel completely theirs. Set within the charm of the walled garden, just a short walk from the church, surrounded by flowers, greenery, and sunshine, their wedding had a beautifully effortless English country garden feel from start to finish.
The Vision
The couple wanted a day that felt natural, joyful, and full of soft summer romance. Their vision centred around gentle pastel colours, relaxed styling, and florals that felt like they’d been gathered straight from an English garden in full bloom.
The Styling
The venue already has so much charm, and Courtney and Harry leaned into that rather than overpowering it. The ceremony took place in the church, just a short walk through fields to the walled garden — perfect on a summer’s day.
For the reception, tables were styled with a relaxed, summery feel: soft pale pink table runners with beige napkins. Laura created bespoke menus and place cards with added ribbon to the place settings, along with bespoke table numbers complete with the couple’s wedding details, placed in our ivory handmade ceramic holders. Brass candle holders ran the length of the trestle tables, with soft pink, blue, and ivory taper candles further adding to the couple’s colour palette.
Laura placed cylinder vases underneath the bespoke table plan inside the yurt. Just outside, the couple chose our beautiful Welcome Board, which we filled full of flowers — the bridesmaids even added their own bouquets later in the day!
The Flowers
The seasonal florals were designed to feel abundant, textural, full of scent and movement — the kind of arrangements that look like they’ve grown right where they’re placed. We sourced soft summer favourites: Roses, lilac Delphiniums, Scabious for whimsy and a touch of blue, Sweet Peas and Stocks for scent, and natural greenery to create a look that was both romantic and relaxed.
At the church, we kept the flowers to a minimum, letting the beauty of the building make its own statement with meadows placed down the aisle. We did, however, create a statement floral arch outside the church — perfect for that just-married confetti shot!
Courtney’s bouquet captured the whole aesthetic perfectly: airy, garden-inspired, and full of gentle colour. At the yurt, glass bud vases filled with Sweet Peas, Roses, Lisianthus, and Stock enhanced the natural beauty of the garden rather than competing with it, creating a cohesive, dreamy atmosphere.
What the Couple Said
“I found Kerry and Laura on Hitched and instantly loved their vibe from our first video call — they completely got my vision for the day and advised me on what I could do to help and adapt my plans to fit my budget. They were professional throughout and so helpful, especially towards the end with constantly having to change the seating chart. They are quick to respond to any messages and always there to offer support and advice. On the day, everything was perfect. Laura hit the nail on the head with the styling vision; we got so many compliments on the venue dressing. Kerry created some beautiful bouquets and florals, and they were exactly what I wanted for my bridal bouquet. I would 100% recommend them for your wedding if you value communication, transparency, value for money, and a strong vendor relationship.”
