Annie & Tom | Thorpe Garden
Annie and Tom’s July wedding at Thorpe Garden was everything a summer celebration should be — relaxed, joyful, and overflowing with natural beauty. The couple said their vows at a lovely local church before taking a vintage Camper Van to the reception venue.
The Vision
The couple wanted a day that felt soft, romantic, and full of seasonal colour. Thorpe Garden, with its lush borders and beautifully designed spaces, gave them the perfect backdrop. Their vision centred around warm summer tones, natural textures, and florals that felt abundant but effortless — like they’d been gathered straight from the garden.
The Styling
Inside the yurt, the long wooden tables were dressed with soft ivory chiffon runners, elegant glassware, and sage green knotted napkins. Each place setting featured a handwritten name card with a dried flower, alongside a handwritten table name featuring an Australian town the couple had spent time together in — handmade by bride Annie herself.
The Flowers
The florals were a celebration of high summer: full, textural, and bursting with colour. Dahlias in warm peach, pink, and apricot tones sat alongside soft pink and ivory Garden Roses, delicate Queen Anne’s lace, scented Sweet Peas, and lush greenery. The arrangements felt relaxed and garden-inspired, bringing movement and life to every corner of the venue.
The couple chose a feature milk churn bursting with seasonal flowers for outside the church, which we then relocated behind the top table following the ceremony — a lovely way to carry those blooms through the whole day.
Annie’s bouquet echoed the palette beautifully: soft, romantic, and full of gentle colour. Throughout the yurt and garden, the flowers added warmth and depth without ever feeling heavy, perfectly matching the couple’s vision.
What the Couple Said
“We absolutely loved our wedding flowers — so much thought and effort goes in to making them exactly how you envisage them. We had our flowers taken from the church to the venue so they could be enjoyed for even longer. Our table styling was also done by LK Wedding Studio; the runners, napkins and candles made our venue look stunning in addition to the flowers!”
